The Australian Association of Animal Sciences, together with CSIRO Publishing, will prepare a special edition of Animal Production Science to be distributed following the 34th Biennial Conference of the Australian Association of Animal Sciences which will be held in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland, from 5 – 7 July 2022.

We are looking for EOI from early-mid career researchers (EMCR) who would like to be part of the Associate Editor board and join Ed Charmley, CSIRO, who has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief for this Special Issue. Associate Editors will be given training opportunities and mentorship to guide them through the editorial process.

Conditions of the Associate Editor position are detailed below:

  • Anyone who has been in Australia as a continuous resident for the last 3 years or has an ongoing position with an Australian research agency or university.
  • Must have conferred their PhD within the last 7 years or have been employed at a research agency or university for <10 years without a PhD.
  • All applicants are committed to upholding responsibility for manuscripts that they are allocated, including managing timelines for submission and communication with authors and the Editor-In-Chief.
