Second and Final Call for Expressions of Interest - Animal Production Science Papers for WCAP 2028

This is the second and final call for authors wishing to publish a full paper in the special WCAP 2028 collection of Animal Production Science (APS).

The APS publication pathway is intended for authors seeking publication of a full peer-reviewed journal paper.

EOIs for the APS stream close on 30 September 2026, with successful authors notified by 30 November 2026 and full manuscripts due in September 2027.

Animal Production Science Papers Due - 30 September 2027

Authors will be asked to provide:

  • Proposed paper title
  • Author names and affiliations
  • Presenting authors details
  • Conference theme
  • Abstract (maximum 300 words)
  • Preferred presentation format (oral or poster)
  • Preferred publication stream (Animal Production Science or Animal Science in Australia)

Authors who do not wish to prepare a full APS manuscript will still have an opportunity to contribute to the WCAP 2028 scientific program. A separate EOI process for one-page papers to be published in Animal Science in Australia (ASA), the official AAAS conference proceedings publication, will open on 1 July 2027.
