Research Open Call 2026-27

From supporting sustainability improvements, exploring technologies for enhancing biosecurity efforts and improving health and welfare management, the AgriFutures Chicken Meat Program’s 2026-27 Open Call is live and seeking research proposals aimed at shaping the future of the chicken meat industry.

The AgriFutures Chicken Meat Program invests in research to address the issues and opportunities facing the industry and deliver the overarching vision of the Program to grow the long-term prosperity of the Australian chicken meat industry.

The Program is on the lookout for innovative projects that tackle key investment priorities outlined in the AgriFutures Chicken Meat Program RD&E Plan (2022-2027) with particular interest in projects that address the following research priorities:

  • Improving environmental sustainability outcomes
  • Enhancing chicken biosecurity, health and welfare
  • Ensuring food safety of Australian chicken meat
