Registrations now open for the 37th AAAS Conference

Registrations are now open for the 37th Australian Association of Animal Sciences (AAAS) Conference, to be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Adelaide from 13–16 July 2026. The event will bring together researchers, industry professionals, and students to explore the latest advances and challenges shaping the future of animal science.  

This year’s program features an exceptional lineup of invited speakers, including:
•        Dr. Jimena Laporta – Associate Professor Lactation Physiology, Department of Animal & Dairy Sciences, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA – McClymont Memorial Lecture
•        Dr Ermias Kebreab – Associate Dean, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, University of California, Davis, USA – Underwood Memorial Lecture
•        Dr Joel Alves – Senior Researcher at University of Oxford, England
•        Dr Chris Whitton – Melbourne Veterinary School, Faculty of Science, University of Melbourne, Australia
•        Dr. Alexandra Whittaker – Adelaide University, Australia
•        Dr. Lauren Hemsworth – The University of Melbourne, Australia – Barnett Memorial Lecture
•        Dr. Sonia Liu – The University of Sydney, Australia

A highlight for early- and mid-career researchers is the EMCR Workshop, “The Network Effect: Turning Conversations into Career Moves,” presented by internationally experienced leadership consultant and executive coach Tanya Perry. Held on Monday 13 July from 12:30–4:30 pm, the workshop offers practical strategies for building meaningful professional networks and navigating career pathways across academia, government, consulting, and industry. Registration is $20, including afternoon tea.
