EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
 
Committee to facilitate an AAAS session during the BSAS 2022 conference 
 
AAAS is now a global partner of the British Society of Animal Science (BSAS), and are collaborating with BSAS to deliver new benefits and opportunities to members of both groups. 
 
One such professional development opportunity is to join a committee charged with facilitating a global session during the 2022 BSAS conference. The working theme of the AAAS session is Implications of COP26 for animal agriculture.

The AAAS Federal Council is seeking expressions of interest from AAAS members to join a committee to facilitate and manage the session. The committee will be responsible for:

  • Setting the format of the session (number of speakers, presentation time)
  • Identifying an appropriate keynote speaker and 3-4 invited speakers.
  • Liaising with the speakers regarding their review or one-page paper submission and their presentation.
  • Recommending a session chair.
  • Seeking sponsorship.

The AAAS Executive Officer will provide support as required.

The theme of the  BSAS 2022 conference is ‘The role of animals in human and planetary health’. The conference will be held from 12 to 14th April 2022 with a hybrid format. The AAAS session is scheduled for Thursday 14th April 2022 from 18:45 to 20:00 (AEST).
