Call for full papers now open!
As part of the 34th AAAS conference: Anchoring knowledge, exploring animal science ecosystems, the Australian Association of Animal Sciences, together with CSIRO Publishing, will prepare a special edition of Animal Production Science.
We invite you to visit our new conference webpage and to consider publishing a full paper in this special edition.Submissions are invited under the umbrella conference theme ‘Anchoring knowledge – exploring the animal science ecosystem’.
Sub-themes include:
- Cutting edge and novel science – tell us what you’re working on that’s new & exciting!
- Novel technologies – research tools and on-ground applications (e.g. remote sensing, on-animal sensors, new lab tools & techniques)
- Challenges to production, survival and sustainability – climate change, animal health & biosecurity, conservation of wildlife, nutrition, reproduction
- Social license – animal behaviour & welfare, impacts of animals on the environment, changing consumer demands & preferences
- Creating impact – measuring adoption, economic impacts, extension approaches
Abstracts for full papers will be due 28 May, and will be reviewed by the conference editorial committee. Invitations will be offered to a limited number of authors to prepare a full paper – due for submission to Animal Production Science by 1 October 2021.
The remaining authors will be invited to contribute one-page papers which will be published online in a supplement accompanying the special edition.
A call for additional submissions to be considered as one-page papers will occur on 1 July 2021.
